Pfft.
Ode to Computer.
Your bytes and drives
They slay me.
And yet here I am.
Typing.

Yeah...Down there.
First ever poem
In the pages of the Oblivious Apes Diary.
Feels fresh...
Like...a new box of Kleenex,
Or a fresh tube of Darlie...
Yeah...THAT fresh.
Expect this to be a regular thing
From here on now.
I guess I found my lost other-half,
Poetry.
My first ever poem...NOT!
Here.
Looking out from the corner of my eye.
I huddle back into the comfort
Of the leather-lined seat,
And yet
My head pops forward,
Yearning for a glimpse
At that which is
All-too-impossible-to-have.
Like the Sun in its throne
High in the azure blue.
Like the Moon
Teasing its light onto the Earth.
Like all the Knowledge
Wealth
Food
Water
Power
In this Land.
Words do but nothing
To bring you closer
To the true essence of my being.
But I hope
It helps.

Cock-Ups.
Ho-kay...
International Business Park
Isn't the place to take a stroll in.
Though it IS the best place
To get your lappie repaired!
I did.
So I gotta wait till Monday to get it back.
So on the way back,
we
(Me and my Mom)
Boarded a taxi.So she said
"Uncle, can take us to Boon Lay MRT?"
The driver was like,
"I donch know how to get deh!"
Turns out,
Jurong East MRT Interchange
Was like, right around the corner.
So we got off there instead.
Hooray for us.
So I installed the CNN webcam
I got from the summit the other day.
Guess what?
It KINDAWorks better than the one installed
On my ACER lappie.
Cos it can record in stream AVI!
Do I hear a "Hell Yeah!" ?
Hell Yeah.
Here's a sample pic that I took with it:
Okay...so my hand was wobbly when I took it.
But the resolution is pretty sharp!
Really.

See those pointy toes?

Word of Advice:

Poker Face.
So I attended a summit
At the Esplanade today.
I think it was the
"CNN Future Summit:
Virtual Worlds"
Or something like that.
So anyway,
We had to come in spiffy white shirts,
pants,
And tie.
And here's how I looked.
Lighting's awesome.
The one pissing's Ian,
(You're lucky I didn't get your face, man!)
The whole summit was basically
Pressing on the same point:
'Technology is eventually gonna merge with reality.'
I think.
Then the panelists keep droning on
About the same point over and over again.
I think I dozed off about 4 consecutive times.
Fortunately, the camera wasn't facing anywhere
Near my direction.
I hope.
Gah.
At least something good came out of it.
A FREE WEBCAM!
JUST FOR ATTENDING THE DAMN SUMMIT!
I bet it's one of those sucky types, though.
Nothing free ever rocks.

HAHA!!!
Hell, YEAH I edited the last post!
(Thanks for the heads up, Ian!)
Man, that was close...
Unless...
Oh crud.
Ah well.
Here are the lyrics to a CLASSIC
that you've been hearin' all this while
You were browsing thru this lil' life o'mine...
Here it is,
Suede
With "She's in Fashion"...
(Hell, yeah she is!)
Enjoy.
She's the face on the radio
She's the body on the morning show
She's there shaking it out on the scene
And she's the colour of a magazine
[chorus]
And she's in fashion
Ouh Ouh Ouh
And she's in fashion
Ouh Ouh Ouh
She's employed where the sun don't set
And she's the shape of a cigarette
And she's the shake of a tambourine
And she's the colour of a magazine
[chorus]
[bridge]
Ah Ah
And if she tells you two is one
Then two is one my love
Ah Ah
And if she tells you you should know
Then you should know my love
She is strung out on a TV dream
And she's the taste of the gasoline
And she's as similar as you can get
To the shape of a cigarette
[chorus]
[outro]
The sunshine will blow my mind
And the wind blows my brain
=D

Gah.
YES!
Blogger's back to normal!
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Boy, am I stoned.
Like, THIS stoned.
And here's why:
(These are lyrics to a song, by the way.)
Pandangan matanya... Menhancurkan jiwa.
It's only part of the lyrics
By a band called PeterPan.
They're Indonesian, and their music's pretty much alternative.
Too bad most of them are sung in Bahasa Indonesia.
Okay,
So loosely translated,
It means:
Her gaze stares into my soul and crushes(?) it.
Okay, so my Malay isn't that hot.
But the idea's there.
Emphasis on 'her'.
I still ain't sure though...
Projects abound,
Conflicts galore,
Cat Fights Ubiquitous,
Need I ask for more?
Boy, I SO can't wait for Monday.
Selamat.

The mud gives way
Like your mesmerising presence...
Never knew I could not live without it
Nor live WITH it at the same time.
Al-Fatihah.
