Phenomenal.
Hot damn!

Have you any idea how long it's been since my last post?!?!

Ages!

Yes, AGES!!!

WAAUUURRGHHHHHH

....*ehem*.

I finaly got my filming for my PSA done last Sunday. Amazingly, it didn't take as long as I expected; we were done in like one and a half hours! I was a little bit wary of the fact that we were filming in a church...I guess as a media practitioner, religion doesn't really enter the picture much, does it?

After filming, I head down to Justin's house and hung out there for a while; I had plenty of time to kill anyway. Played some games on his PS2, one of which was Fatal Frame 2 (That shit still creeps me out, man!).

After that, I head on down to school for the TPLatinos' juniors' first ever performance. Congratulations, guys; this gig will be one of many in our near future. As usual, the day, which looked deceptively windy before, turned out to be positively BURNING. Carrying a 20+ pound suerdo did not help the sweating. The performance turned out great, though I'm probably losing my touch; my forearms burned after hitting for 5 minutes! 0_0

Oh yeah, if any of you Samba dudes happen to stumble upon this blog from my Friendster or anywhere else, I extend to you a welcoming hand.

Or a hug.

Or maybe just a simple welcoming message.

Yes, that would be best.

WELCOME!!!

Brotha made me work it ALL out.
WHOA.

Like...WHOA.

FRICKIN' UNBELIEVABLE WHOA.

AWESOME FUCKING CONCERT, THAT WAS.

"I say 'Wicked Aura', you say 'Batucada'!"

Wicked Aura!

BATUCADA!!!

Now that was one gig that should have been paid for, and still be worth it. Wicked Aura Batucada had a concert at the Stage @ Powerhouse at the Esplanade today (or yesterday. Damn it!) in conjunction with the release of their new EP. We had half the samba dudes come down for a night in town.

Fortunately, for me, this wasn't just any other concert where most of the audience members turned out to be deadbeats; let's just say the benches they put there didn't get sit on very much throughout. We danced and grooved our hearts out to the songs of Wicked Aura, such as Pedestrian, Brotha's Gonna Work It Out, and of course the crowd favourite, You Make Us Wanna. Oh yeah, tonight the Oblivious Ape revealed a side of himself few have gotten to see; he danced. Well, it wasn't more of 'dance' than it was 'swaying from side to side with extreme spasmodic nodding of the head'. Still, I had the balls to groove. In your face, fucking poseurs who think they're too cool to gyrate in public.

Kudos to the juniors too, who made an effort to join us in both the coming to the concert and the gyrating. I didn't see anything. Nope, nothing at all.

We spotted some of the Bloco performers there too; since we were pretty much newbs at practice, they didn't really notice us in the crowd. Ah well, to each his own.

To end this post, if you want a gig to remember, come for one of Wicked Aura Batucada's. It's a solid guarantee from the Oblivious Ape that you won't regret it.

Oh, Fräulein...
Okay, fine, I'll stop with the whole German-themed titles...

...well, maybe not.

The German language is way cool. I wish I could learn German. Words like 'schnitzel', 'wiener' and 'das wunderkind'...I don't know what they mean but damn, don't they sound cool.

I mean, seriously, the most I ever got was French.

French.

Oh, by the way, we TPLatinos got ourselves a Multiply page. Grace us with a visit, yes?

TPLatinos!!!

So the Oblivious Ape watched 'Sex and the City' yesterday.

Yes...yes, he did.

See that 'Stop Laughing' sign there? Okay, now do what it says.

It wasn't as gag-inducing as I expected. Sure, there were many bimbotic , and mostly superficial moments. I mean, seriously, the girls have more costume changes in 30 minutes than the main male characters do. Pampered, much?

It was, though, very, very explicit. M18; you get what you pay for. It got pretty uncomfortable towards the 14567399090th sex scene. The show certainly lived up to its name, right there.

Overall, very shallow. As a newbie to the established series, this movie is something I would definitely not recommend.

So I'm not one for good reviews. That might have to do with the fact that I have tonnes of assignments piled up in that box labeled 'Stuff I was screwed into doing'.

Haiz. Back to the hidey-hole I call a life.

Achtung, Ghostie!
Ah well.

Yes, it's been ages.

Yes, it's past my bedtime, Ma.

Quick post here:

Eye pimple's gone. (This 'news' is officially a week late.)

We had the Samba Orientation on Wednesday for the juniors (I'm just calling 'em juniors for a more generic term; I know some of them are older than me. Duh.) Glad to know all of them, to know all of them know me, and to know it's not a problem talking to these guys.

Personally, I think you guys are great. Thanks for being such good sports. Fully drenched, and covered in flour, but good sports nonetheless.

I went through the most authentic night walk yet,

in the mangroves of Pasir Ris,

at 10 p.m.

I'm real proud of myself. And I'm glad I didn't see anything. (You know, I know; can already.)

ANd I'll be wAiting, Bonafide as I am, to see what comes out of this.

Wha...in my EYELID?!?!
Okay quick post here before I go out:

Turns out that FRICKIN' PEANUT in my eyelid was, in fact, a PIMPLE.

Yes, reel away in disgust, my readers.

A pimple in my eyelid.

Never thought I'd see that coming.

And this news is officially 2 days late.

There you go.

Now shoo.

Frickin' peanut.
First off, I'd just like to say that that douche-bag post was my 200th.

What a way to commemorate your 200th post, huh?

Anyways, back to topic.

I went to bed yesterday with my right lower eyelid feeling a little sore, for no apparent reason.

When I woke up today (Or yesterday, it'll be midnight by the time I'm done with this post.), my right lower eyelid looked like a frickin' peanut was lodged inside it.

That's right. FRICKIN' PEANUT.

It's frickin' swollen like nobody's business. Kudos to the inventor of glasses because, man, without 'em, even I can't make a swollen eyelid look good.

Yes, that was self-glorification.

You should try it sometime. Keeps you from slipping into the darkest depths of depression.

Now THAT is a story better told at a later time.

Now I'll just wait it out; wait till the swelling goes down...

..wait, is that frickin' PUS?!?!

Made you look. XD

Although I AM pretty concerned...
