You fail at life.
We are gathered here today to discuss two words that are most ridiculed by the online Singaporean community...

No, not Mas Selamat, you nimrods.

I'm talking about RACIST BLOGGERS.

Yes, that's right. You know who you are.

One think I've noticed about these bloggers is that they seem to think that they own the Internet (me included.). But I'm not dumb enough to GO AROUND AND PUBLICLY PROCLAIM IT ON A SPACE THAT IS LESS THAN PRIVATE!

I know this topic is kinda late, so I'll just illustrate to you some examples:

Remember FragrancePrince? Yeah, the nimrod who got himself arrested on two counts ofNimrod.

Just in case you forgot, here are some pictures to refresh thy memory:

(pics obtained from Hardware Zone's EDMW forums - click to enlarge)

He states why Singapore can't be like Milan, and I quote, "where everyone is so well dressed and well-mannered??". Well, I say if you think Milan's so FUCKING GREAT, why the fuck are you still here, nimrod???

We could damn well do without your myopic scope of our society here on our sunny little frickin' island.

Oh oh, and here's the BEST part: "Even if you are a Malay and am reading this...good for you..coz this is my personal blog and i can say what i deem fit.... if u wana defend yourself.... i suggest you arm yourself with education and a motor mouth to compete against me.. else don't bother...coz i will bet my life on the line that, should you challenge me in a conversation... you will lose like what a true malay would.... LIKE FUCK!!!"

Let's analyze this, shall we?

Okay, enough Fragrance-Douchebag hatin'.

I'm cool, I'm cool.

Superintendent of detention centre sacked over Mas Selamat's escape
By Wong Siew Ying, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 26 May 2008 1437 hrs

SINGAPORE: The superintendent of the Whitley Road Detention Centre has been sacked over security lapses that led to the escape of Jemaah Islamiyah detainee Mas Selamat Kastari on February 27. His deputy has been demoted, with a corresponding pay cut.

The two were the most senior officers in charge of the ground management of the detention centre, and were among six Internal Security Department (ISD) officers charged over the escape.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng disclosed this when he updated Parliament on the disciplinary action taken after Mas Selamat's escape.

Mr Wong said: "These two officers have been held accountable for the lack of supervision over the subordinate officers implicated, which resulted in lapses that enabled Mas Selamat to escape from WRDC.

"The superintendent has also been held accountable for failing to take appropriate action on discovering that the ventilation window in the toilet at the Family Visitation Block was unsecured.

"He should have instructed the renovation contractor to install grilles on the ventilation window. It was a serious error on his part to saw off the handle of the window instead, in the mistaken belief that this was a sufficient security measure."

Two Gurkha officers were also charged and have been demoted after pleading guilty.

The Special Duty Operative handling the detainee's family visit when the incident happened has also been sacked.

She had not observed due procedures in the accurate registration of clothes belonging to the detainee and those issued by the detention centre. This allowed Mas Selamat to put on more than one layer of clothes during his escape.

Letters of warning were served to three others - the Special Duty Operative's supervisor, the Chief Warder as well as the Technical Officer responsible for the CCTV upgrading at the detention centre.

Responding to a question by MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC, Dr Lam Pin Min, Mr Wong said all the officers were given the opportunity to explain themselves before the Disciplinary Committee. They also have 30 days to appeal against the punishment meted out. So far, no one has done so.

The superintendent and his deputy have also been held accountable for the lack of supervision over the subordinate officers implicated in the escape.

Mr Wong said the ISD's command director, whom the superintendent reported to, has also been relieved of his duties on April 24.

Although the command director was neither directly nor indirectly linked to the lapses of specific officers down the line - and he was not at fault over the lapses - Mr Wong said he was formally the apex of the supervisory and management chain of command overseeing the detention centre.

The chapter on Mas Selamat, who is still at large, is far from over.

Mr Wong added: "We've received no information from our foreign intelligence partners in the region that Mas Selamat has appeared on their shores. We have no information specifically on where he could be.

"But we cannot work on the assumption that he is no longer in Singapore. Therefore, we have to work on the assumption that he is still in Singapore and all the necessary border security measures ought to be in place."

So security at all checkpoints will remain tight.

Mr Wong said the morale of the ISD has taken a beating over the incident. However, they will learn from this setback and stay focused on safeguarding Singapore. - CNA/ac/vm

I'm like WHAT THE EFF.

Personally I don't hope to see who fucked up in Mas Selamat's escape in the latest news.

I'd much rather see him actually get CAPTURED for once.

MEDIC!!!
Holy fuck.

I am phenomenally fucking tired.

Like, hallucinating-mumbling-incoherently-large-eyebags tired.

Let me just list down the stuff I have to complete by next week:

-GET THE INDIVIDUAL BMR LITERATURE REVIEW DONE (At least 5-7 pages long)

-GET MY SCRIPTING FOR AUDIO PRO DONE

-GET THE PAIR BMR ASSIGNMENT DONE.

Seriously speaking, I don't know how I'm gonna survive the semester.

Wish me luck.

Or, judging by how frequently you guys leave a tag every time you visit, I'd say a simple 'LOL' will suffice.

"I saw you that day...the day we were supposed to watch 'Speed Racer' at the cineplex. I actually bought your excuse saying 'Speed Racer' was too much of a gay show for you to enjoy..."

"...A...Anna..I can explain...Bobby was the one who came onto me first!"

Meanwhile, through the phenomenon known as 'breaking the fourth wall'...

Kii-YAAHHHH
Oh wow.

1 week.

Is THAT how long it's been?.

Damn. Felt shorter.

So let's go through the major events that happened this week:

...Oh, you were actually waiting for me to elaborate? Naw, nothing major happened.

Mmhmm.

Oh, wait, there was the samba practice this week. The new batch's getting better and better every day, but hey, there's always room for improvement. For one, the whole band could be tighter. They seem to be playing as individual sectionals, and not actually looking at the signals of the repinique player. Something needs to be done 'bout this.

So my public speaking group, consisting of Jonathan Elias and Konrad (Exotique', no?), had to give a speech about persuasive speeches. Yes, I'll give you people time to let the irony set in. Suffice to say, within the 2 hours+ we had, we delivered it well. The damn thing was practically an impromptu speech!

Oh yeah, I got the Transformers Animated Prowl deluxe figure. Kudos to Ian for that, who helped me auction for it along with some other stuff he wanted. 20 bucks...that ain't half bad, for something that isn't even supposed to be released till June.

A ninja Transformer. He rocks.

Period.

Rad. She's Rad. Rad on the 3rd floor.

Coincidence? I think not.

WRONG.
Wow.

It seems like ages since the last post.

A lot of stuff's happened since said post, like the new batch of TPLatinos having their introduction to samba percussion, the shitty workload I've to face, yadda yadda yadda...

Well, I'm too fucking tired to elaborate bout that now...maybe on a later date.

Except replace "on a later date" with "never".

Suffice to say, today was a pretty good Wednesday on the overall.

Single Camera Production was pretty awesome this week. We got to see the video we shot the last week, where Ian and I acted out a fight scene while Wei Xun and Justin filmed it all. Good job guys, I must say. Today I got to be the sound guy for a camera exercise we were doing involving lighting and audio equipment. Whooptie doo.

No, seriously. Being a sound guy's awesome; it's like having Superman's heightened sense of hearing. Yeah, I went there. Chez geek, dudes.

Later in the evening, the new batch of TPLatinos had their first ever practice. Yes, I admit I'm not the most vocal of people. Lemme just say that I'm more of an observer. And I don't usually speak until something needs to be said. Or there's an urgent need to crack a joke, usually of the tasteless variety.

It looked like they picked up the beat pretty quickly for first-timers; better than us actually when we first picked it up. And they actually learned the steps to the beat even before we taught them!

They're THAT good!

Baiiiik SUERDO!!!

(Just a tiny lil' shoutout to the suerdo dudes in the new batch: Khidir, Alvin, Bryan, Nabila, Suzi, Lorraine, Nurul and Yuzil. You guys were AWESOME.)

For the rest of the dudes who really wanted to play on the suerdo (I was really touched by the response, by the way.), don't fret. You'll still have other opportunities to play on 'em. I'm not sure when and how that'll happen, but it will.

Really.

The preview for the performance for the MOE dinner next Thursday's on tomorrow. SO I guess I'll have to miss the Public Speaking tutorial for today. That's right, Hafeez. Waste your life away by not attending classes.

.......MOM! Get off my damn keyboard!

Damn, I get off my seat for just ONE minute to get a drink...

Guess that's my cue to head off to bed. *Poof*
