I noticed this one night while typing away on my com. I just HAD to let you guys see this.
Check it out:

Still don't see it? Well, lets just highlight a bit here, and shade a bit there...Nah, take a look at it now:

Coincidence? Your call. XD
(Oh, and if you can't see it, do yourself a favour and click on the pic, ay?)

Meh.
ARRGGHH
UPDATES, PEOPLE, UPDATES!!!
BANZAI!!!
All right, that's enough ecstasy for now. Fuck, fuck, FUCK!!!!!
You know what, I feel like Lego right now. Blue-coloured pieces in the midst of brightly-coloured yellow ones and feisty red ones. Boy, am I fucked up.
Okay, so besides the self-abhorring, I DO have some positive stuff in this post, thank you very much.
SO on Wednesday, it was the Samba session with the dudes. We're having a performance when school reopens, and it's an outdoor thing in school so BE SURE to hear our drums beating when we go out next year aight? After the practice session, we were SUPPOSED to head off to the Arts House to check out Roland's gig (He's our instructor, by the way.) Apparently $15 was a little too much for the guys to spend on a Samba performance. I personally didn't mind, but what the heck, I wouldn't mind a movie instead. So we headed off to Plaza Singapura to check out I Am Legend (of which I have SOOO been looking forward to since I saw the trailer during the Transformers movie)
I mean seriously, what IF you were THE last human left on Earth? Of course, you would most probably kill yourself in a fit of desperation and depression...BUT imagine, YOU now OWN everything else in the WHOLE FRICKIN' WORLD!!! That's it man,I'll go out to the nearest Challenger I can find and loot some of my favourite Xbox 360 games AND an Xbox 360, sit my ass in front of the television and PLAY. All day. No damn dog (I did feel sorry for the poor mutt though, until he turned vampire. That's when I went "That's it, kill 'im"... Poor Sam.) though I would prefer a cat at least. On the whole, personally it was less than enjoyable for me, mostly in part because I spoiled the whole movie for myself by reading the Wikipedia entry on the movie. Sigh. Curiosity kills the movie-watching experience.
Damn, to think I can write this much for a blog entry and SQUAT for my 1000-word essay. Yes, apparently I have to think up of a FIVE-year plan for the Today tabloid. No, I DO NOT WANT TO FUCKING THINK UP OF A FIVE-YEAR PLAN FOR A FUCKING TABLOID I DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO PICK UP, thank you very much. I could care less about my life 10 years into the future, much less help Today increase their profits over 5.
So I bought Gears of War for the PC today. Guess what, I was DISAPPOINTED. No, not because of the game, but because it required a whopping 12 GIGABYTES OF FRICKING HARD DISK SPACE. Damn you, Windows....Okay, okay! I take it back...just don't touch the laptop, okay? Stupid Privacy Act.
Sigh. $56 gone down the drain just like that. Sure wish I bought Lost Planet instead.
Miss Chuah still hasn't called me yet for the video thing. I'm starting to wonder whether the e-mail was just a scam...hmmm. Gotta go, Big Brother's got his eye on me. XD

Plump it up, folks!
Fuck.
I don't know; I just felt like starting off this post with some 'emotion'. No reason.
Just plain 'fuck'.
Okay, back to earth.
So I went to take some night photos last (or last last) night together with my mom. Took the area around my apartment block, and Changi Beach. I can tell you Changi Beach is DEAD on Saturday nights. Absolutely DEAD. Everybody's either holed up at home, or watching soccer at the kopitiams and hawker centres nearby.
I WAS able to get good subjects for my pictures, one of them being of a water chestnuts seller. (I STILL dont see the link between buah 'berangan' and water chestnuts.) Right. So my mom offered to ask permission from the dude to become a subject for a few of my shots. Being the kind soul that he is, he obliged. THANK YOU, UNCLE. He definitely was among the few best shots found in those 36 exposures. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to thank him PERSONALLY, but my mom did get the job done for me. As you all should know by now, I AM socially-retarded. In more ways than one, I might add. XD
SO the photos came out really well, though some shots were really underexposed (My dad's camera doesn't offer any sort of aperture-priority function. Sigh.) But the fast-motion shots were good, although much could be improved with holding the camera steady.
And this goes out to my group: I SO suck at being a group leader. I am NOT group leader material. But since it can't be helped, I will step up to the plate if that's what it takes. But that don't mean you guys get to slack off either, eh? Get the research done for your respective business plan sections! You can be sure I'll be doing mine.
AND KENNETH SEE, PLEASE CONFIRM MY SMS-ES WILL YOU? Gawd, is a simple message so hard to do? Thank you. (-_-)
As I got back from Tampines Mall today, I saw that the overweight recruits, those who had to stay back while the fit ones went back every end of the week, were just about returning home. Something tells me this is a FRICKIN' sign. Thanks. Thanks a lot. I guess guilt comes with the flab, huh?
Sigh.

Blah.
To quote the warden from Minority Report,
"If you dig up the past, all you get is dirty."
Yeah, well, I was cleaning up my arwah nenek's house yesterday, and you can bet the past is WAY dirty. Dirt and dust reign in those corners, I tell you. Even roaches didn't live to see the light of day, judging by many dead bodies found under the kitchen sink.
Uurrghh.
I DID get some interesting stuff out of there though. For one, there was a whole container of VINTAGE cameras. Like, from 1970s VINTAGE. They were awesome. One even had a maximum shutter speed of 1/12,800th of a second! That's fo' shizzle, biatch! XD
Frankly, I was impressed.
Looking back, I can't believe that house is being sold. Many beautiful memories were formed there, you can be sure. My grandma greeting us at the door whenever we came to visit; the dishes she used to cook (which were ROCKIN'); just her presence. You can't never get the same feeling anywhere else.
Now she's gone, and my grandpa's bedridden. Old age has really taken a toll on him, I guess. He may even possibly be slipping into senility.
And I can safely say I ain't never gonna respect my paternal grandparents. (Not the two I was mentioning at the top)
*Editted* Once again, I let the ugly side of me roam free. It's time it went back in its cage.
DOWN BOY.Yeah, this is the kind of thing you only see in dramas on television. But you can bet your ASS it's happening all around you.
On a lighter note (somewhat), I'm waiting for Adobe Design Premium CS3 to transfer over to my external hard drive. The estimated time remaining keeps fluctuation between 2 days and 40 minutes. (-_-) Just felt like backing up my files today. Somehow my trail of thought came up to the top part of this post. Sigh. It's been a really eventful year, I must say. I'm lucky I still got school to get my mind off such things. Change was imminent, and I'm still much of a wuss to handle it. No, this isn't self-pity. It's the uber-screwed up reality.
My photos are supposed to be ready sometime between today and tomorrow. Apparently they had to send the machine off for repairs, so instead of getting it on the same day, I gotta wait for 3 whole days. (-_-)
I'm off to wallow in the pit of superficial grandparents, deadlines, and obesity that is my life.
Ta.

The bee's in my @#$%in' KNEES!
Man, do I feel bummed.
SO I tried to 'exercise' yesterday, to disastrous consequences. Apparently, running has something against me. Who knew 9 months of slacking could do so much DAMAGE?!?!
First time in 9 months, people. That can do a lot to a body like mine. Flab is the least of my worries. All the eff-ing weight has taken a toll on my damn KNEES. Gawd. I think I ran the grand total of less than 2.4 kilometres. AND I was STRUGGLING.
STRUGGLING for 2.4 KILOMETRES!!! AND THERE'S STILL NAPFA TEST TO CONTEND WITH!!! NOOOOO!!!
Fuck. And now my thigh muscles are sore. I think my leg muscles have already had their share of a workout for 16 years. Its just my big ol' paunch that needs workin'. I just hope I can still do a sit-up. (-_-)

Bleearghh.
I am currently going CRRRRAAAAAYYYZEEEE over Skillet's Collide, which I'm sure is playing over your speakers now. I dunno, none of their songs have given me as much impact as this song has. I'm like WOW.
Anyway, I am ALSO going CRRRRAAAAAYYYZEEEE over NORWEGIAN RECYCLING!!!! Finally, other quality mash-ups besides DON AND DREW (Gosh, I miss your shows). This guy is GOOD. One of his mash-ups, How Six Songs Collide, is AMAZING, perfect for a relaxing day on the countryside somewhere in New Zealand, lying on a hammock. Sipping ice-cold lemon tea.
Ahhhh...
There's another one of his tracks, Ben IS Chasing Beautiful Girls. It's a mash-up based on Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls (Duh.) and he actually managed to incorporate TECHNO beats into it. THAT'S what I call pro. Like WOW. It also incited my poem outburst in the last post.
Anyway, I put the playlist out for you guys here, you precious few who come to visit this little mousehole in the wall of the World Wide Web. So, take some time off that oh-so-busy schedule and give
THE DAMN PLAYLIST A LISTEN, WILL YA?Thanks. XD

Robust.
Techno.The percussion beats
Introducing the composition,
Like the tip of a paintbrush
On a plateau of funky canvas.
The mid-rifts.
The addition of the outlines.
The shuffling of beats.
The story has begun.
The peak announces its arrival.
The colours flow freely now,
Unstoppable, almost orgasmic!
The rush is here.
The beats wind down,
Percussion, no less.
The artist signs off.
The audience, contented.

Garfunkle.
Arggghhh.
Ms Chuah's lectures are going through me like diarrhoea; very, VERY panifully.
Nothing is being absorbed, and it's the time of the year to worry again.
Courtesy of Ian's blog and the school, I shall compile my to-do list FOR THE REST OF MY NATURAL LIFE.
Okay.
NO. 1
Journalism test's gonna happen on Monday next week. I have NOT studied for that and am NOT sure when I will. Hurray.
NO. 2
Media Management Principle's test gonna happen on Wednesday next week. Obviously I am in the process of revision, judging by my blank stare on the screen and me slowly losing function in the rest of my limbs. Darn those damned lectures! Pfft.
NO. 3
I have just remembered that WE NEED TO GET STARTED ON THE BUSINESS PLAN FOR PER COMM SOON!!! Seeing the advancement Adabelle has made with her group, I am getting
pretty worried. With 'pretty' meaning UBER-FREAKIN-UNDENIABLY. Gosh.
NO. 4
Ah yes. Photography. A group assignment plus 1 (or is it 2?) more individual assignments due after the test period. Which is NOT good. I am still worried about the Per Comm project. Uber-freakin-undeniably worried. Which bites.
As you can see, if I do NOT manage to handle all of these in the most calm and perfect way possible, I will simply crash and burn. My life will cease to exist as we know it. Now that's a bright future. (-_-)
On a side note, have you ever noticed how powerful and undeniably precious a smile is?
Well, if you do, good for you.
If you don't, GET FRICKIN' SMILING TODAY!
I'm just happy. Really.

@#$%ing FILM!
So I managed to borrow a camera form my aunt on Friday NIGHT. It was uber retro, with an external battery pack to power a motor for auto-winding of the film. It even had the old-school winding lever! Really awesome, and REALLY @#$%ing heavy.
Sad to say, good things are sometimes to good to be true. I thought the film was latched on correctly-I saw the film counter count to till it reached ZERO- but apparently it wasn't. By the time I got the film back from the shop on Sunday-TODAY-the film turned up EMPTY.
That's right.
5 hours of good photography time gone to fucking waste. All because of that camera. Not that it sucks though, gramps. It rocks, really. I don't think I was cut out for it. (-_-)
Ah well, bright side's comin' up. I'm liable to get a DSLR soon, insyaallah. PLUS dry cabinet and accessories. Take it as an investment. Though I probably know as much photography as the next mat that rides down the sidewalk in his ugly 'tricked-out' trash for a bike. (Sorry, negativity coming through.
Down, boy!)Till tomorrow, I will borrow a camera from school, and hopefully take a whole roll of pictures, send the roll to that Eastpoint film shop and get the photos back by the late afternoon so that I can choose which ones to develop into 8R. Phew. Tomorrow's gonna be a heck of a day. Whoopie for me.
