I've finally come to the conclusion that girls definitely take the cake when it comes to observational skills.
It's true.
In fact, it's SO true that it's scary.
I don't know why.
I'm not good at explaining the theories I propose.
They just come, I guess.
Like a weird sort of epiphany; instructions not included.
So we're probably gonna be appearing on the info-variety show F.Y.I. on Suria. I'm telling you, this Bloco Singapura thing has brought us so much media coverage than we ever thought possible. Although we weren't directly mentioned, it feels good to be involved in such a landmark event; to know that you were part of a grander scheme of things. It's a shame we couldn't have recruited the juniors AND gotten new instruments (which still hasn't happened, by the way) earlier; I would have loved to get them involved too.
The big day comes in a week's time and I am STOKED.
So the juniors had their 'creative percussion' session just now, and for the most part, it was pretty hilarious. But I am kind of amazed that in the short 15 minutes they were given to come up with a totally new beat...they didn't just impress us; they frickin' BLEW US AWAY.
And I'm not one to give praise like it flowed through my veins; I give credit where credit is due.
Time for another 4 hours of painstaking socio-psychology to go through tomorrow.
I seriously have no idea how I'm gonna survive this semester.
