So you can tell how much I enjoyed the busking session last Sunday.
But before that, we dudes (meaning Me, Praba, Ian and Justin) went to China Square Central for a little window shopping (or should I say, 'whiny' shopping? Heheh, eh? See what I did there?... Oh, you guys are no fun anymore). I don't know each time I go to CSC, I feel like I wanna enjoy the trip, and at the same time it takes so much eff-ing energy to get there PLUS they seem to have a very distinct lack of benches. So I held out for as long as I could, until me and Praba went to get ourselves some nice little spots on the neches inf ront of the Guardian pharmacy.
Needless to say, Ian and Justin enjoyed themselves immensely while they were there. I just couldn't wait to get our sweaty butts down to Dallas Chicken. I still don't know who the hell recommended it, but I expected it to be OPEN when we got there and GUESS WHAT?
It WASN'T.
A hot and sweaty Oblivious Ape does not like closed restaurants.
So, naturally, I was pretty much pissed off. But the dudes managed to survive nonetheless.
Uhuh.
I, on the other hand, was simply looking forward to another AWESOME busking session with the Upbeats, this time in front of the Takashimaya Shopping Centre. (You dudes should have been there!)
Here are some vids of our performances:
This song's titled Adacutab, or Batucada spelled backwards.
This one's called Upbeatable.
This one's titled Afrobeat. Mmhmmm.
LONG LIVE UPBEATS PERCUSSION!
Enjoy.
Oh, and before I go, I'd like to extend an EXTREMELY BELATED BIRTHDAY WISH TO ONE AWESOME DUDE:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONSIEUR JUSTIN MARK NG!!!
(Or should I say, Justin 'Mambo' Ng, eh? Heheh, eh? See? See how I did that again?)
