Doubt, you are one cruel sonofabitch.
I'm really apprehensive about my driving school prospects. Never in my life would I have thought that I'd find making a car move scary.
It's scary business, I tell you.
Just a few hours ago during my practical driving lesson, I would have run over some pedestrians at a zebra crossing if not for the quick thinking of my instructor and his rapid plunging of the brake pedal.
Halamak.
I mean, shit like that is enough to put anyone off the idea of driving...probably for GOOD.
And what do I get for it?
One subject passed instead of the usual two every lesson.
ONE.
And I pay over $50 bucks per lesson.
50 BUCKS.
"Kiasu Singaporean mode, ACTIVATE!"
You see, my family didn't exactly have silverware in our mouths when we were born. Our financial situation still remains the same as it was 20 years ago, which was so-so.
SO to have shit like that happen to you when all you want is to just get this whole license business over and done with...
It just gets to you sometimes.
And it SOOO doesn't help that it's a gruelling one and a half hours to the school.
Okay okay, the ranting shall stop here. For today.

Talk about bittersweet.
Oh, 20-minute Friday crush on the MRT...
If only every woman brought the scent of sweet butterscotch and Paddle-Pop ice-cream with them just like you did.

Release accelerator, depress clutch then brake...or was it the other way?
Okay I can explain this pretty substantial hiatus over here.
See, I've been enjoying playing with Roxie (see previous post) these past few days. I've also been taking up driving lessons; in fact, I just got back from my second one earlier today. And so far, let's just say me and the clutch pedal have a love-hate thing goin' on.
I could be me over-thinking this whole thing, but I am genuinely anxious about going through future lessons. And by 'anxious', I mean 'trembling in trepidation'.
I mean, here I am, just practising in the circuit in a beat-up sedan and making tonnes of mistakes as if I didn't read the training manual. And I DID READ THE MANUAL.
And as I sit here mulling in self-pity, I begin to wonder: Which nimrod invented the use of three pedals in driving a car? Honestly?
Well, whoever he was, he must've had a third vestigial leg because that's the ONLY WAY I SEE IT WORKING.
At this point, I'm sure the car enthusiasts and license holders reading this would condemn this post to the depths of motorcar learner nooby-ness.
But hey, I think I'm entitled to my fair share of gripes and moans at this stage, amirite?

Six strings of happyness. =D
Thanks to Zat's heads-up on the labour Day Sale going on at Swee Lee today, I decided to bring mum out to get me a brand new GUITAR. YEAHOOHOO!
Check it out:

Say hello to my brand new Ibanez AEG10NE. I call her Roxie. XD
Got myself a neat little package (which I had to put together myself since they didn't have any pre-existing ones) which included a gig bag, guitar strap, an Ibanez amplifier and a guitar stand. All for a cool, cool price of a little under $600 bucks.
Yeah, my pocket's crying too, but I'd like to think of it as a good investment. Helps me take my mind of the pain too. Heh.
I'm already liking the hardware; the neck is way smaller than my aunt's (her guitar I mean), and there's like a preamp included, which is pretty nifty since the guitar doesn't sound as strong by itself if say, I wanna use it in a gig situation (SUPER MASSIVE HUGE HINT). But for home noodling it'll suffice.
It's much heavier than my aunt's (Her guitar. We're still talking about her guitar here.). Maybe it's got something to do with the electronics? I don't know. Regardless, I like the sold feel of it, like I'm confident that it can stand up to some really hard knocks.
Not that I'll be subjecting it to any of that, though.
Okay enough talk I WANNA PLAY! XDDDD
